These terms cover your use of ucr-registration.cc and any UCR filing assistance we provide. Using the site or submitting a request means you accept them.

1. Who we are

ucr-registration.cc is owned and operated by DotMotusCompliance Inc, a private, for-profit corporation at 202 N Cedar Ave Ste #1, Owatonna, MN 55060.

We are not FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Unified Carrier Registration Plan, a state agency, or any other government body. We have no government authorization, endorsement or affiliation. This website is a commercial solicitation.

2. What the service is

We prepare and submit Unified Carrier Registration filings on your behalf, based on information you provide. A filing engagement typically covers:

• Preparing and submitting your UCR registration for the year requested
• Verifying your carrier or business classification
• Reviewing your fleet size against the fee tiers
• Selecting the correct state for registration
• Sending email confirmation and your UCR receipt
• Assisting with corrections where needed

Registration itself is processed by the UCR Plan's National Registration System. We submit into that system; we do not operate it and we do not approve registrations.

3. The service is optional

You are not required to use us or any other private company. You may register directly with the UCR Plan at www.ucr.gov and pay only the government fee. Checking your registration status there is free.

4. What you are responsible for

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of everything you give us, including:

• The USDOT number of the entity that actually operates
• Your commercial motor vehicle count
• Your business classification
• The state your business operates from
• The registration year or years you want filed

We file what you give us. If the information is wrong, the filing may be wrong, and we are not responsible for the consequences of inaccurate information you supplied.

You are also responsible for determining whether UCR applies to your operation. We can discuss it, but the UCR Plan publishes a free eligibility questionnaire and it is the authoritative starting point.

5. Fees and payment

Two separate amounts apply:

• The government fee, set by federal regulation and collected by the UCR Plan. This is not our money and the amount is not ours to set or change.
• Our service fee, charged for preparing and submitting the filing.

We show both separately, itemized, before you pay. We do not present a blended figure. Submitting a request through our form does not charge you anything; we confirm the total with you first.

6. What we do not guarantee

• We do not guarantee any processing time. Timing depends on the UCR Plan's system and, where applicable, on payment clearing.
• We do not guarantee approval of any registration.
• We do not guarantee that you will be found compliant by any agency or at any inspection.
• We do not guarantee that the information on this site is complete or current for your circumstances. Fees, dates and requirements change by regulation.

7. Not legal advice

Nothing on this website or communicated by us is legal advice. References to regulations, agencies and requirements are informational. Use of this service is not a substitute for engaging directly with the appropriate government agencies or with your own counsel.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the service fee you paid us for the filing in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue, downtime, or penalties assessed by any authority.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Acceptable use

Don't submit information you have no authority to submit, impersonate another business, or use this site to attempt anything unlawful. We may decline or cancel any engagement.

10. Content on this site

The text, design and code of this site belong to DotMotusCompliance Inc, except for content owned by others. You may read and print it for your own use. You may not republish it as your own.

11. Links to other sites

We link to government resources, including ucr.gov and plan.ucr.gov, for your convenience. We don't control those sites and linking to them does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the agencies that run them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one posted here, with the date shown at the top.
